LRG Clothing | Hip Urban Fashion Streetwear

By Julian Kwandez

Brainchild of co founders Jonas Bevacqua and Robert Wright, Lifted Research Group Clothing (also known as LRG Clothing) is a company that originated out of Santa Ana, California. LRG clothing line represents a creative, independent, underground culture.

The LRG clothing brand is an outlet for emerging talent to be discovered and encourages others to express new ideas. The company supports causes that are geared to changing the world for the better.

LRG has a branding that is different than most urban clothing lines. Four logos tell the story behind the LRG's success. The Tree logo has several meanings: the roots represent how far the company has grown; the roots represent the company's origins. The Cycle Logo represents the cycle of growth. The Number 47 logo is the age of Jonas's mother, who is also their role model and supporter, when he and Robert created the LRG Company. The Giraffe logo is a symbol of elevation, to see beyond the rest.

LRG announced their women's clothing line, Luxirie, in 2005 which targets women ages eighteen to thirty. The launch of the Luxirie line took place in the US and Canada in the fall of 2006. The designs cover a number of themes including western, urban, and military. Also in the fall of 2006 T-Moble launched a limited edition Sidekick designed by LRG. The device sported a green theme that featured all of the LRG logos.

In 2008, the House of Courvoisier teamed up with LRG for its "Find Greatness Within" campaign. As part of the campaign, Courvoisier and LRG created a co-branded retail experience called the "Pop-Up Shop" which features designs personally customized by Jonas Bevacqua. His designs are a reflection of the greatness that Courvoisier asks consumers to seek and find within themselves. The pop-up shops were also a showcase for Courvoisier's newest Exclusif. The shops were featured in five major U.S. cities, starting in Los Angeles, and then moving on to San Francisco, Houston, Miami and New York.

LRG hoodys, jackets, jeans, shorts, sweaters, and the always popular LRG Tee-Shirts are part of the LRG line. LRG clothes also makes novelty items like the LRG Kayo Corp limited edition skate deck, and an LRG hoody that features an embroidered logo on the chest and a metallic tree logo. - 29871
