Tuxedos And You

By Rachel M. Quake

It's a natural assumption, that if you take care of your appearance and how you are perceived by others, you will have a similar attitude to other aspects of your life including business. That is why you should always make every effort to be dressed smart. If you work in an office environment you should certainly buy a tuxedo.

It gives you a jump on any opposition not dressed as smart as you. This is important because first impressions count, and if you create a fine first impression you have a head start.

By purchasing a tuxedo, you can seem like anyone you want to be, and a power suit of this kind makes anyone look confident and successful.

If you are tall and slim you can wear a double breasted with rounded lapels, maybe in the windowpane style. This, and the use of heavier, lighter toned fabrics will serve to "add bulk" to your frame.

In addition, a larger person could purchase a black tuxedo with pinstripes to make you look slimmer.

If you intend to wear your tuxedo to a wide variety of functions, you must make your choice very carefully. Black would be the best color for this situation as it is acceptable for almost all occasions, whether business or social.

If you have one well-fitted black tuxedo that you will wear almost anywhere, you can still vary your appearance with extras. Wearing different shirts and ties can have a strong effect on your overall appearance. By changing the accessories the same tuxedo will serve well for both important meetings and informal gatherings.

Outside of the classic black tuxedo, many other colors are available but keep in mind that not all colors are suitable for just any event.

If you can afford to, you should have your tuxedo tailored to fit your specific measurements, rather than buying off the rack. It can be difficult to find off the rack tuxedos that fit properly in every dimension. If you can afford a tailored tuxedo you will have made a very valuable addition to your wardrobe. - 29871
