Tips For Picking the Right Women's Perfume

By Marlon Carey

Men generally say that women are not easy to please. Well that is probably because most men don't take their choices very seriously. But with just a little effort you can pick them a great gift and look like a total hero! So what do women like as gifts? Perfumes are definitely on top of the list. But buying women's perfume is no easy task! But that is not to say that it is completely impossible. With a little practice and help you can pick out her favorite fragrance.

Rule number one is finding the right women's perfume for your loved one is to find out what kind of fragrances she is normally wearing. Some women prefer stronger scents like Dior Poison and some are into demure scents like Cool Water.

A woman who loves flowers might love a bottle of Escada Pleasures. If you don't know about her preferences at all, then a lighter scent is almost always going to be a winner since every one can wear a light all day kind of fragrance.

A note about less expensive women's perfume is that those tend to smell much sweeter when applied than when you spray them in the air. This is why you should be cautious while buying low cost perfumes. You can talk to the women at the counter about whether a perfume is good or not. Ask them what they think about it. Tell them that you are buying for another woman and they will be sympathetic!

Another way you can tell about what kind of a scent a woman prefers is to check out the kind of fragrances she uses all around her. Even if you are unsure about her perfume, you can look at her shampoo, conditioner, hand creams and foot scrubs to see if she prefers a certain flavor.

Some women are drawn to fruity scents. If you see a woman with a lot of fruity cosmetics and candles, she is obviously into fruity scents! Get her a women's perfume that has a fruity kind of fragrance. If the woman you are buying for prefers to light clean smelling candles and has similar taste in cosmetic choices, then you can buy a musky women's perfume for her.

When buying perfume settle down on three or four you like and then begin the final smelling down process. More choices will only confuse your smell sensors and you won't be able to decide at all. - 29871
